Excelsior is a footwear brand that originated in France and later gained widespread recognition, with its current production base established in South Korea. The brand’s design philosophy is rooted in the founder’s passion for vulcanized footwear. At the early stage of development, the rubber components and sole designs were inspired by automobile tires, resulting in the brand’s distinctive foxing tape pattern resembling tire treads. This inspiration led to the adoption of an Industrial concept, which has since become a core design identity across subsequent collections and continues to define the brand today.
